For thirty-five years, my husband and I share the same drink every night. Years later, I took the bottle to analyze and the result left me completely surprised…
For thirty-five years, my husband Victor placed every night, exactly at nine, two small glasses on the table of the kitchen.
One for him and one for me.
He always took out the bottle he kept on the highest shelf in the closet, served the dark liquid himself and waited until my glass was finished.
“A glass to celebrate another day we’ve spent together,” he always said.
When we were newlyweds, it even seemed like a romantic custom. I thought Victor just wanted us to spend a few quiet minutes together at the end of each day.
Over the years, that custom became an important part of our routine.
It didn’t matter if I was tired, if I had a difficult day or if I preferred to take something else. Victor always prepared both glasses.
“Tonight I prefer to take something else,” I said one day.
It’s just our little ritual.
Why is it so important to you?
